How we use your information

The council will use your personal information for the purpose of delivering the service as requested by you by completing this form. Declaration

We ask that you:

  • Don't unlawfully enter private land or property (including gardens) or take pictures of people without obtaining appropriate consent
  • Have an adult accompany any children under 18 years old when litter picking
  • We suggest you wear high-visibility clothing when working next to a highway
  • Wear gloves when litter picking and wash your hands soon after
  • Do not pick up syringes, dog poo not in bags or broken glass
  • Do not attempt to move heavy litter or fly tipping, report it to us via the council website instead
  • Be mindful of road users and other people along your litter picking route
  • Do not put yourself in danger for litter, for example:
    • Avoid highway verges, river banks, near water bodies or slopes
    • Stay in public areas that are well-lit when lone litter picking
  • Treat people fairly and respectfully and not act in any way that could be deemed as harassment, violent or threatening
